Question

Web Design in Manchester, Has anyone used this company?

Jan 4, 2014 9:25AM PST

Hi,

We are looking at having a new website designed. I have looked around on the net and found someone in Manchester that do a webdesign package for startups. They have plenty of recommendations on their own website, but I am yet to find any reviews or comments on any other site talking about them, ie reviews etc. It seems they are a fairly new company. Would you trust them?

No company can honestly state 100% up-time. If they are going to fib then where's the trust?

There response

I questioned them about this as all other companies stated 95 or 99. They said that they have there hosting in the cloud? and this means that if something should fail it automatically reverts to another route, and they have had 100% up-time with all clients.

can this be true?

Only if you believe.

They could be telling a white lie. That is, the client stays up in the cloud but the network goes down. Not a total lie but they fibbed, and won't recant. Not a good start to any relationship.

Could be?

Hi Bob,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I still don't understand how they have told a white lie? The only reason I am interested in these guys is because they have a really good offer on the web design which includes the hosting. Apparently after further investigation the service they use is cloud hosting in combination with incapsula www.incapsula.com. and I still cant get past the reviews on the website, they all have links to existing site owners aswell so I could contact them direct myself and enquire. Do you think this would be a good idea?

and here is the information about the offer regarding the web design, your thoughts?

In today's world, there are a lot of choices.

For me, the claim is a lie as no one has hit 100%. There are far too many reasons why but why would they continue to state such unless they were stretching the truth?

As to testimonials, many are fake. Hard to differentiate the good from the fake but you know they fibbed so what else will they fib about?

It's not a good start to a relationship.
