Question

Web building platforms

Feb 18, 2013 7:31AM PST

Hi guys, I hope I am posting this in the right spot. I am trying to figure out any issues with a piece of software I wrote. Wondering if I could get any critiques on it. It is a website/blog building platform. Thanks in advance

Create an Affiliate Program on your Website

So this is a spam project? Anytime you see that affiliate, it's the code word that you want to spam the site or content.

Nice graphics and such but the moment I read that, I closed the web page.

No not a spam project. Just used an affiliate link to track visitors from a specific site. I'm not trying to sell anything just want people to take a look and let me know what they think. Thanks for the info though I'll just use http://webify.ws from now on or explain beforehand.

That's even worse.

That link asked me to sign up and didn't tell me why. Again, I closed the web page.

Think about those first impressions. While I know a little more than I'm letting on here, think of those that don't know Webify and what message you are sending.

Admin Demo and User Demo, but both links are broken. If such prominent things don't work, within 2 seconds you lose any chance of ever keeping a user and you've already invoked the emotion that this product doesn't work. Creating a website, even more so a service that creates things, is all about designing an experience. Even if the functionality is there, if it doesn't make people feel good, they're gone and they'll never come back. In such a competitive market, everything has to be stellar. Take a look at Squarespace and how they sell their service and what they offer.
