Power off all equipment. Power back up in this order:
Modem, wait for lights to stabilize.
Router, wait for lights.
PC, wait for stable desktop.
Now try it.
I have a "Netgear Wireless N Router" and the web browsers (both Firefox and IE will not connect too the router. My other programs such as my Thunderbird email, my weather program and all other internet dependent programs will still access the router with out problem.
My laptop was in "Hibernate" and when I woke it up, the browsers no longer would connect. I get the error message, the "page was reset while searching for the server." Thinking that perhaps the router had encountered a problem, I reinstalled the router but this did not straiten the problem out. This is probably a minor glitch, but I am not familiar with wireless networks beyond following install instructions. The router is working properly so the problem must be with a setting on my laptop. I would be for ever grateful if someone could give me assistance.
