Web browser issue

Dec 21, 2014 4:57AM PST

I just purchased a Samsung 32 inch TV UN32H6350A5. When I try to access the web browser I get a error message "browser stopped unexpectedly reload or go to home page". Sometimes I've just loaded the browser and sometimes I actually open up a couple of sites but I always get the above message. I have a dual band Netgear router and have connected my TV wireless and wired but have the same result. My download speed is always 30 mbps or better. I have Charter as my ISP. I called tech support they had me reset the smart hub but it didn't help. any suggestions?

True. It's well discussed

And the web browser is very limited. Many web pages can cause this.

Call Samsung for the longer explanation?

Thanks for the reply, yeah I'm starting to see these TVs have a limited browser. This is my first experience with Samsung. The other issue is that I can't change the aspect ratio while playing Hulu or Netflix. While I had the tech on the phone I also asked about this only to be told my DVR box needs to be replaced? These come from a totally different source right? Either the tech isn't informed or my guess wanted to pass the buck. Thanks again...

Now that's odd.

Ok but that must mean that Hulu or Netflix must write their apps for each TV brand / model. Reason is I also have a 47 inch LG and the same program on either of the above I have the ability on that TV to change the resolution.

You guessed it.

Hulu and Netflix write the apps. It's a big part of their efforts and partly why we get third rate players.
