Web based Vote System...

by e-milio.uy / February 27, 2007 2:53 PM PST

Hi guys... I?m trying to do multiple votes from my PC (or at lest my home Internet connection) over a free survey on a web page [no user or password needed].

I?m running over Windows XP, connected to the WWW by an ADSL protocol, and because of my contract (a cheapest one Wink my IP is dynamic, so every time I start a new connection, the provider assigns me a new IP address (this is also checked by ipconfig...).

I?ve tried connecting and disconnecting to Internet, emitting one vote at lest for each time (so, different IP for each vote...), but it didn?t work, the site recognizes me as the same ?voter?. I also tried IE and Mozilla Firefox: clearing Cookies, Temporally Files, etc, but it didn?t work too.

Any ideas or software that can help me?

Thank you very much just for reading this!!!

See you around,

e-milio.

Maybe we can see how to alter your code to allow testing.

Sorry may be, i didn?t explained myself correctly... although I?m a programmer (not a Web programmer, so I?m totally newbie on that stuff), in this particular case I just want to know how this web site (and others may be... not mines), do it.

Because my IP changes before reconnection (not only tested with ipconfig, internally router IP, also tested with externally, using: http://www.lawrencegoetz.com/programs/ipinfo/, and in both cases, each connection results in different IPs...), so I don?t understand how they can recognize me as the same voter, or for example, as the same visitant for a web counter.

Thanks a lot for you interest!!!

Allow this.

Since it's not yours I'll have to abide by our forum rules here. To me this looks to be an attack on someone's site. Or at the very least someone trying to mess up a poll site.
