Question

Web-based project helping

Jun 1, 2012 9:50AM PDT

Hi everyone,

I'm building a virtual tour for a museum that's going to be heavy on image maps and I'm looking for advice on pulling those off. Problem is, the site needs to be optimized for use on an iPad so I want to define my images with percentages. Is there a good way to make that work? Or am I being overly paranoid about not doing this in pixels?

Also, I want to include a simple, retractable menu bar along the bottom of the screen. Basically, a simple tray that can be slid in and out and has, at most, five buttons on it. Anyone know of a good javascript that I can use for that?

Thank you much!

Did you consider an app?

We don't want an app.

We'd rather keep it as a web-based project both because that would give us much more flexibility in how we use this and because it would be much, much cheaper for us to build this in HTML.
