We're back! (Spring Break)

Departed Chez Boggs 8:15 AM Saturday
Stop in Henderson, TX for fuel.
Over De Ridder. LA to OakDale, LA for Lunch.
Over Lafayette, LA to New Orleans Lakefront Airport. Arrival at 3:00PM.
Dinner in the French Quarter and Bourbon Street on Saturday night.
Cafe au lait and beignets at Cafe du Monde on Sunday morning.
Driving tour of NO interrupted by drive across causeway to (late) lunch in Mandeville. Finished remainder of driving tour just at dark.
Cemetarys on Monday morning. D-Day museum and D'estrehan Plantation.
Departed Lakefrong at 10:30AM Tuesday. Lunch and gas in Nachitoches, LA. Landed at Aero Country at 5:15PM.

Tons of pix to sort thru and a BIG chapter for the Journal to write.

Cemetary's in New Orleans.

Are a big attraction. First, some of them date back to 1700. Second, as the ground is at and sometimes below sea level, they cannot bury bodies. Consequently, all 'burials' are above ground. Read: tombs mausoleums, etc.
