Adding the following features to your car, enhancing your driving experience with safety, convenience and entertainment.

• Smartphone Integration

• In-car Applications

• Multimedia functions - Music Anytime

• Bluetooth & Internet

• Modern GPS

• Traffic

• Voice Command / Hand Gestures

• Parking g Assistance / Backup Camera

• On-board diagnostics (OBD II Connection)

Would love to hear any comments or if would consider the upgrade, "yes" or "no" in the comment section would be fantastic!

Thank you.

Answer
In Car Apps? Bad idea.
Aug 16, 2014 4:40AM PDT
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/08/20/us-autos-hackers-idUSBRE87J03X20120820 and more articles point this is the infection point for bad apps and more. With far too many apps taking the AD SUPPORTED path who wants your car to pop up on the infotainment screen, "Pull over now for a hot toddy at Todds!"

As to OBD II, there are far too many pit falls there. One of the development systems I worked with shows OBD II to be hit and miss as to whether this or that make reader worked or not. Also, some OBD II ports are already blocked with an insurance or tracker dongle.

Beware to makers that go there as there be dragons.

Personally, it's no for me.

In my role of passenger, charged with handling both the in-built radio and the GPS attached to the windshield, I'm perfectly happy with them (although it might be time to buy an updated map).

And I didn't yet hear the driver complain about lack of smartphone integration (she hasn't one), in-car applications (like ??), bluetooth (nothing to connect), internet (not allowed to browse the net while driving) and on-board diagnostics (never has a problem with the car, so what would there be to diagnose).
