We left Cingular...paid the $175

May 23, 2006 12:09PM PDT

To answer your question Tom and Molly - my wife used to have the UnPlan from AT&T Wireless and when Cingular took over her service, things went downhill. She was very unhappy and tired of my ?Sprint works fine here...? comments. So, we ran the numbers and it was so much cheaper to cancel and pay $175 and for her to start a new contract with Sprint. Now we have a shared plan, talk to each other for free and enjoy unlimited data through Vision. Well, I really enjoy the unlimited data. My wife could care less Happy

So canceling and paying the $175 was worth it.

(NT) (NT) but was it "fiscally" worth it?

Yes it was

because spending $175 was cheaper than paying about $60/ month for a plan with bad service for another 18 months.

I did this with net access.

We changed the plan of our net provider and incurred a penalty, but we saved $10 per month and got faster internet and only had a $99 dollar fee for changing providers placed on us.

One year return on investment is good business.
