Question

WD My Passport external HD Help!

I have a 500G back up external drive and used for my PC until I purchased a MAC for my wife. I went to save data from the MAC to the drive and it asked to reformat the drive...here is the dummy in me...I did and now all of my data from my PC is gone. Or is it?
Can anyone help me save all of the years of data that is on this drive?

PS...haven't told the wife yet...how much trouble am I in?
