WD (alternative) backup software

Feb 27, 2009 12:58AM PST

I have a Western Digital backup that was very efficient at backing up when I first installed it (on my laptop), but when I am out of town and come back it doesn't seem to know that it needs to just go ahead & backup all the new stuff. Sometimes it takes a little coaxing to get it up and running.

I have heard that there are other software programs that will make this more automatic. Does anyone have experience with this?

FAT32 800gb free space
Windows XP on a Compaq notebook
