Wave III System

I have a five year old Wave III system w/multi-cd changer. The cd changer had to be repaired a year ago when it wouldn't play or eject the cd's. Now neither the radio or cd player work. It was turned on, there was a snap, crackle and pop, then nothing. I don't know if it's the speakers or the radio but I've done resets to no avail. After paying over $700 for a system that's less than 10 years old, and having had a $100 repair already, I'm not inclined to pay more. I take good care of this system, don't play it loud or everyday (mostly listen to it on weekends) and I'm more than upset at having these issues. Can someone help solve this latest problem getting the sound to work? Thanks!

Hmm, ebay tells me more.

In reply to: Wave III System finds a lot of dead or near dead units, parts and boards.

The clue you have is the POP SIZZLE. You might find which board it is since it may have visible damage. Then you check Ebay and see if there's a replacement board.
