Wav hyperlink and Microsoft Excel

Hello i need some help in regards to a hyperlink

I was sent a hyperlink of a wav file. If i open the hyperlink in the message, Windows Media player opens and plays the file

If i copy and paste the link in excel and click on the link, the file plays. There are no controls in excel and media player does not open. If i close excel, the file is still plyaing

Is there anyway to get the file open in Media player if i click on the link in excel or have controls pop up. I am using Excel 2010
