Why it's weird.

If you wanted to hit a wider audience, a speedy page rules. And much like no one wants to know about your band, the choice of OS is best relegated to some supported OS list on a page of "About us" or such. Look to how others do that.

Then again this could be some web designer that knows Flash so when you give someone a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Well

The flash I have to say is pretty good. It's cool design.

Cons...

Everytime one clicks a link the whole page disappears and shows a loading bar, even if we've already visited the page. It does go faster once you've visited. Another thing... if you are doing web design etc, I don't see how the music singing about oceans/boats and the background pictures tie in with this type of business. I would go with something a little more subtle, where information meets design. Presenting your skills equally to your text on the pages.

Don't believe in making pages that validate?

Didn't see a way to shut off the music. I looked at a couple of pages in the portfolio and got bombarded with two conflicting music sources. It was annoying.

I considered it pretentious.
