Question

Watch Amazon Instant Videos

Nov 7, 2013 7:18PM PST

with a Linux OS w/ FF v24 and Opera v 12.16 . I am an Amazon Prime member and trying to watch a movie on Amazon. All movies start playing but it freezes up after a few seconds and a popup say's the movie is unable to play because I need to install Adobe Flash player. I have Shockwave installed and it works fine on all other sites. I emailed Amazon customer support and they said the same thing, I need to install Adobe Flash player. It works fine on Windows 7 w/FF v24 w/ Shockwave. I also have hardware acceleration turned off but it made no difference. Where am I going wrong here?....Digger

I've started messing around with this problem again ,Still can't get Amazon movies to play as an Amazon Prime Member with the installed version of Linux.

The same version works just fine as a Live CD though and several others as well

Any clues to whats up.

Confused Again.....Digger

I don't understand it, but Amazon Movies are working.

I went Distro hopping for a couple of days and got it to work on two so far,

The Amazon Prime Movies work with PCLinuxOS and Linux Mint Maya.

I couldn't get it to work on Debian based distros .

That's all for the Grunt work for now

One of these days all of this will make sense to me

Amazon Prime movies work on my new Linux computer running SolydK (Debian)

I dunno if it's because of flash updates or the new MB, Processor or Distro updates. Confused

(NT) As you can imagine, installing any Linux will let it play.
