You have two options essentially:
1) Reconnect it to the domain at work and have someone with the administrative password remove it from the domain
2) Reinstall the OS
I have seen programs that claim to be able to remove domain passwords without being connected to the domain, but they're generally kind of pricey for one-time use. I also can't speak to their effectiveness.
Hi, I got an old dell pc given to me by work (rescued by permission from the skip) it's only for very simple task. It used to log on to the network, but the network admin can't remember any settings and doesn't want to hook it up. problem is I end up at ctr-alt-del screen and no further. tried the trick to get to the (nmreg something) accounts panel on repair option, but it won't let me change settings and accept them. Any idea where these settings are stored, to get rid of them, don't want to re-install.
Thanks for your help
