Warning re: IncrediMail issue

Nov 30, 2004 2:59AM PST

There is a thread going in Computer Help about what happens with your mail (old and possibly new) you may have stored on your computer that started off as Outlook or Outlook Express mail when you install IncrediMail.......

Evidently it takes over the extensions that you are familiar with (.eml and .dbx files in particular) and changes them to be .idx extensions so that IncrediMail is the default viewer. Unfortunately, uninstalling IncrediMail doesn't put those files right again, but there IS a converter program available at IncrediMail that will convert them back to .eml or .dbx files so make sure you get it and keep it handy.

It appears also that some of the saved .eml files get changed as to file size, too.......I don't see any solution for that particular problem yet and hope none of you have experienced it.
