Wanted to ask a question about DvdRw Drive

HI I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me. I would like to buy some rewritable cds to record Data and some Data. I was wondering if I need to now the speed of my dvd rw drive. I am not sure what speed my Dvdrw drive speed is to write imformation to a rewritable cd. Is their someone way for me to find out what the speed of my DvdRw Drive is? I should mention that I am not an advanced computer user I am only an intermediate user. Is their an easy way to find this stuff out please provide any help if possible.

Windows Vista Home Basic
32 bit system
Dvd Rewritable Drive Drive (E)
Manufacture Dell systems

Any current Vista machine should be able to use any CDRW you find at the local stores. You don't have to know what speed for this purchase.

Any labeled new CD/DVD blanks you buy is stating that's the most capable it is. So, a 16X DVD blank is capable of being written at that speed. If you're DVD writer is only 10X, then that's the most it can do, but the blank 16X is acceptable for use. You needn't fret that much as most new systems "auto-adjust". I only suggest you buy name brand blank discs, plus be sure if +/- labeled, the same type as well. Thus if your CD/DVD drive is a CD-R(minus) get a blank pack of CD-R(minus), same for DVD, for best performance. Should you have any in depth questions about CD/DVD drives look at this website:
