You don't unlock CDMA phones like you would on At&t or T-mobile. If you want to use a phone w/ Sprint or Verizon it has to be branded by that carrier. Cannot use Verizon phones on Sprint or vice versa. You can buy CDMA phones through eBay or Craigslist.
I have 4 phones. The phones are as follows: an HTC Mogul, (works intermittently), a brand new HTC Mogul in box, an HTC Touch Pro, a Motorola Q 9C, and lastly an i 860, which has been replaced by a Mexican phone i i965. The majority of the phones are sprint phones with the exception of the i860 and i965 which are Nextel.
On January 31, 2010 I took the opportunity to mutually end our contract with Sprint/Nextel. I most likely would never go back for reasons to numerous to mention here.
I own a business and the phone numbers are the most important to port. Secondly I would love to find a carrier that who CDMA, and will accept a sprint phone, and does not require a contract. I am perfectly willing to pay for unlocking. In addition I want to use the windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. What I would like is a month to month plan without having to change phones.
Thank you for any advice especially Pedro7.
