And many reasons for it to fail. Skype for example might not auto-answer and a few folk did not understand when I told them they needed to configure the tablet to never sleep.
As such you may want to try app after app till you find one that works for you. Or for about 100 shop around for one of those newer pan-tilt cameras that connect on WiFi. I have one and it's not that bad.

I would like to use my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to monitor my pets at home while I am away. I tried to do this using Skype but had problems. I want to position my laptop to cover the area at home and my tablet will be with me so I can use wifi. Is there any software that I can use that will be easy to configure that will let me do this? My laptop is running Windows 8 and of course Android on my tablet.
