Want to use good independent search engine

by Priscilla3 / November 24, 2006 3:34 AM PST

I downloaded the latest version of Explorer (which has not been good, but that is a different subject) and it makes you chose a search engine from a very limited list. I know google does a TON of data mining and frankly I am NOT happy about that and would like to use an independent engine; explorer MAKES you chose a search engine so I have to find one before I can get rid of google!

Thanks for the replies. P

Sorry, all data mine.

If that bothers you then no known web search company is going to pass your criteria.

This "data mining" is how search engines may optimize how to rank the pages. Without it you would be upset at how badly the search engine works.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
