Am looking for someone who might be able to help or knows someone who could.
Description of my issue:
I edit audio using Final Cut, still on 7.
I need to take MP3 files which are air checks from radio broadcasts, convert to AIFF to use in FCP.
Edit these audio files in FCP 7, and while listening to them, write coded informational descriptions that later help me sequence the clips according to this info. Thus I only have to listen to the clips once, while I edit them.
Once the edited FCP sequences, now with station call letters, city of broadcast plus coded info I add, are exported as AIFF, they are then imported into iTunes, so that they may be easily moved up and down to set the order of the sequences, according to the coded info I have added to the title.
Once the clips, now in iTunes have been sequenced, the AIFF files are converted to MP3s to present to client. However, the coded info I added to the clip name, now has to be removed so that only the station id and broadcast city show. And they have to be in the same order as was set in iTunes.
This involves taking each MP3, removing coded info, leaving station id and city, and numbering each MP3 so they are in correct sequence order.
There's a bit more, but this is so long now, I will hold off with a few more details. What would be ideal is if I could have the coded info not applied to clip title, but put in a second column, that would not be part of the station id and city, but still be available so edited clips could be moved up or down in order.
Thank you anyone brave or bored enough to read this. If you know of a workflow expert, or are one, would appreciate info to contact.
Will compensate for time and expertise.
