Question

Want to sell assembled desktop pc. How much shld I charge?

Dec 13, 2014 3:20AM PST

I assembled a desktop pc April this year, but would like to sell it to be able to afford a laptop as I move around quite a bit. But I'm not sure how I should go about pricing it. Either just the tower or the monitor or both. I'm going to include the list of components in my gaming tower with product links. It is lightly used. And if you have suggestions for which site would be the best to sell it on that would be wonderful. Let me know! thank you

I don't have any of the original packaging, will that affect the pricing?

Unlikely

The ugly truth is easy to see by looking on ebay, craigslist for such machines. Figure about 50% or less of what you paid since it's used and no warranty. Folk today seem to be moving to the laptop en mass so get it gone while you can.

that's why many save the boxes for when they later sell it. Gamers especially move up every couple years to newer computers and know to keep the packing for that reason. That way they can advertise "like new" instead of "used". The fact the parts are still being sold new helps a lot.
