That was a year ago. I'd shop other brands now.
For years, no gamer, even a Sims player would accept playing on a Intel HD 4000.

Hi,
When I started university I bought a Sony Vaio as my first notebook. After 4,5 years he is starting to give up, that's why I'm searching for a new notebook.
Yesterday I saw a sony vaio in a store, last piece priced at 499 euros. I was now wondering if this new vaio have similar specs as my old one and if it will deliver similar performances...
Old vaio:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-350M, speed: 2,26 GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Screen: 14 inch 1600 x 900
Hard drive: 500 GB
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5145-graphics
New vaio
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 3217U processor, speed: 1,80 GHz
RAM: 6GB DDR3
screen: 15.5 inch 1365x768
Hard diks: 500 GB
Graphics: Intel HD 4000
So I mainly used my laptop for my thesis and so on, internet and watch some movies. I also occasionally play the Sims. That has always worked on my old Vaio, so I wondered if this newer model could run the game at equivalent quality? Finally, I wanted to know at what point the new model is worse and what better.
Thanks in advance
