Question

WAN Access Denied

Oct 13, 2018 5:44PM PDT

We recently purchased a refurbished Motorola/Arris SBG6782-ACH and when we activated it with Xfinity internet (250mb/s) the internet would not work. Everything else on the modem/router seems to be working, but the internet light on the modem is blinking. When we looked further into it, it says that WAN access is denied.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

But every Xfinity setup I've had required the tech to come out to test and activate the connection.

Answer
Contact Comcast to Have Them Resolve Activation Failure

It is best to contact Comcast to look into the failure of your router to connect to your Xfinity Internet service. You should also mention that you purchased a refurbished Motorola/Arris SBG6782-ACH modem/router. Since the router is a refurbished one, there is a chance the modem to router connection needs to be tested with the router directly connected to the Internet, if you have a bridged connection. A hardware or firmware issue is a possibility.
Xfinity Internet is the division of Comcast, you would need to contact.
