As the speakers vibrate (with sound) that vibration is transferred to the TV case and frame. That frame is physically connected to the mounting hardware which is physically connected to the wall. Vibrations transfers to the wall.
My thought would be to use rubber mounting bushings to absorb some of the speaker vibration. Contact a professional installer for ideas.
Hello, I just wall mounted my TV on a common wall shared with my neighbor in an apt building. Will the sound leakage be increased versus just placing the TV on a stand near the wall? If so is there any way to reduce (not completely block) the leakage? I thought of putting sound absorbing material on the wall behind where the speakers are to help "muffle" the sound. Also considered using "mass vinyl" solutions, although I cannot cover the complete wall.
Thanks for any suggestions
