I downloaded an $.88 song from Wal-Mart, and it was swell. But I stopped there, instead of downloading another 5-10 songs, because their "Listen" feature has problems.
I remember when Amazon (which works fine for me) and even Microsoft's Media Guide had not accomodated many browser and/or network security combinations. Why Wal-Mart couldn't learn from them is beyond me, but whenever I try to "Listen" to a Wal-Mart clip, Media Player gives me a "Cannot Connect to Server" error.
The "helpful" folks at Wal-Mart's support group told me to make sure that Media Player could play .ASF files...DUH! The problem is probably security or proxy-related..but again, Media Guide, Amazon, and other on-line clip sites work fine with my browser...but not Wal-Mart.
My guess is that their sales would increase considerably if they "got" this problem, especially when you consider that my PC and home network are out-of-the-box Windows XP Professional, DSL and Netgear.
Good luck Wal-Mart...maybe some outsourced IT gurus can help you figure it out...
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
