but if it's cheap, you get popups.
And that message is SPAM.
You might try installing a popup blocker.
I just upgraded my system to XP (longtime ME user) and I've been using Wal-Mart Connect as my ISP for over two years. Because all I need is the internet access, it's a perfect fit, plus it uses AOL Access Numbers. But I noticed this week that I get a pop up titled under "messenger service" saying that I have spyware on my system and that I should to onto a site and download a patch. I never got that message before under ME and I don't get it either when connected under a LAN. A friend of mine also uses Wal-Mart Connect under XP and gets the same message. He's a Netscape user and I'm a Firefox guy, so it's not coming through IE.
There has never been an upgrade for this program as far as I know, but is there some kind of "true" patch I can get to knock it off? Thank you!
