Wait for Lion?

So I'm a long-time PC (read Windows) user who has had it! Finally decided to make "the switch". Now the only question is ... should I wait a couple of more months for Lion? Pros? Cons? If I buy my Mac now, will it be considered an "upgrade" to get Lion, or a full-blown OS purchase? How much is a typical upgrade? New OS purchase?

That's a personal choice.

As to cost, why not ask Apple?

There are some folk that fret about such updates. But for the software ones I know I can skip it and move on. The hardware ones are tougher. Such as I won't get a Macbook air today as the update is very soon. I would get the other Macbooks since they are very current.

Great question. You dont have to wait that long in regards to finding out exactly when Lion will be coming out.. Apples Developer convention is <span id="INSERTION_MARKER"> June 6-10 which will be heavily focused on the Lion OS. Historically I would wait till the convention which is almost only a month a way. In regards to pricing apple wont tell you because employees are not allowed to discuss future unreleased products.. Bottom line if you if u r new 2 mac wait just a little bit i will be worth it

It depends whether you have to buy a new Mac now. If yes, no need to hesitate, if not, wait for Lion
