wacko wireless printer setup!

by cleverrabbit / August 21, 2009 12:28 AM PDT

okay... here is my sad tale... two days ago the entire wireless mac system was just workin fine.. then I took my macbook into the shop for a non related repair.. came back logged into the wireless network just fine... I can access the airport wirelessly.. can get on the internet.. but NOT able to print wirelessly anymore (Epson printer is USB to Airport Extreme)... the other mac on the system can print just fine.. and I can.. (but only when I hook directly to the printer thru USB).. I have checked the cable to the printer from the Airport.. all good.. rechecked my drivers.. all good... done the printer test...says the printer is OFFLINE... not.. It seems that the problem is with the airport? but why on only one mac?? Any thoughts??

Hey there "P" you are a GOD!.. (or a goddess!)..I took the printer out of the list and put it back in as you suggested... and it actually worked.. (and I am sure that I have tried that at least once today!).. It is an Epson 7000 ... I took of the print sharing thang from both laptops as well.. and it works on both wirelessly..
the uprelated repair.. a new topcase (uppercase).. and it was done at the Mac repair shop!>.
so hey.. who knows.. why these things happen.
but I thnk you for your help!
