yea, with Verizon, almost all of the Bluetooth/obex profiles are disabled with their phones except for the ability to use the wireless headset connection. They come from the manufacturers (mototola, lg, nokia, samsung, kyocera etc...) already programmed that way. While Verizon does have the best network, coverage, and customer service, they fiercly protect their own content by not allowing customers to transmit other content via bluetooth. it's a tradeoff, while other carriers have more open policies about what can be transmitted via bluetooth, you might have to put up with substandard network and poor customer service. Their saving grace is that the put a lot of their content dollars into strengthening their network and customer service. It would be nice to have a carrier that is all things to all people, but Verizon is still the best in the business.
Does anyone know of a way to have my Jabra BT150 Bluetooth headset play my MP3's via the headset. It works for everything else, just not my MP3's. I was told (by a Verizon CSR...jerk) that it would work. I haven't been able to find a way and have checked ahckers sites. Can anyone help????
