DESCRIPTION:
lion has discovered a vulnerability in WS_FTP Server, which can be
exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The problem is caused due to an error in the parsing of file paths
and can be exploited to cause a vulnerable system to use a large
amount of CPU resources.

Successful exploitation requires that the user has been
authenticated.

The vulnerability has been confirmed on version 5.0.2. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the FTP server and disallow anonymous usage.
