While you could ask Samsung, they didn't write the app.

VUDU has a forum with many of us asking them about this, they say it is a Samsung issue since their app has UHD on other platforms. Is that what the TV is in this scenario, platform?
I dont like VUDU because it is Walmart, and I despise Walmart as being the destructive force they are in this country.
BUT , for some strange reason Amazon is not renting UHD movies, only selling them. Yes they have titles via Prime, and I have seen those, but the UHD movie options are only to purchase which is $30 and up.
Maybe, VUDU and Samsung programmers have yet to figure out how to do this on that model.
Here's what I'm seeing in the app world. Companies want the apps done on the cheap so you might not get the brightest of programmers or there may be no budget to fly over and work with a vendor. At least that's what I saw when I was in that rat race.
What this means to you is if this is important you buy the set with what you want ahead of time.
For me I'm hanging back on 1080p since we all know the following.

Since I won't watch my 50 inch HDTV at under 5 feet, I can wait for HDR to roll out.
Both of my new Samsung's have HDR, and I have watched the same program in UHD and in 1080P from 10 feet away on both a 55 and 65 inch and I can tell the difference easily.
The main difference is the quality of the new Samsung's vs the Kuro Elite Pioneer Plasma I paid $4700 for. While it is near perfect as to the image/hz issues and blacks, the overall appearance was dark compared to this new stuff.
Today for the first time I found ONE title on Amazon for rent vs purchase, non Prime. So more to come I guess. What I wonder is how far off are we from reasonable costs on 8K and content to go with it.
