VPN virtual private network on WinXp x64 & Hamachi

by blind031 / January 23, 2008 3:48 AM PST

hi have a few games that for some odd reason will not work on an internet server but instead will only work on a lan server or a vpn server, currently i have been using hamachi to create a vpn for people to join, however when i start up the game my friends are just stuck there frozen, is there a reason for this? did i configure it wrong? anyways ive look online for other ways to create a vpn and there is a way to do it through windows and as i am using x64 i am limited to certain programs hamachi is 1 that works though, so it would be nice to have it going, if anyone knows how to setup a vpn through windows please help me step by step as i have seen many tutorials online but haven't been any help yet, or if someone knows the issue with hamachi, please help me fix it

thanks

Move back to XP 32 bit.

And you'll find more solutions. XP 64 had me excited but I found it far too lonely with no hard support and failing applications.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
