Wouldn't remove viewers work fine? I can't see where I must have a VPN to accomplish this goal.

I meant remote viewers like VNC. That and others like it let you see the screen on the remote PC and log in among other things.

Why VPN? Are you going to learn about VPN server software, install, configure, test and more?

My company uses it for secure remote logins. So I thought it would be the best way. When I am traveling I would like to access files and other content stored on my Home network.

And others use an encrypted transport. If you want to set up a VPN server, client and more then what stopped you?

I find that to really tax the everyday user where as the more common remote access solutions seem to be more acceptable. i.e. VNC, Gotomypc, etc.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
