potential voter KNOWS about ALL of the rules 'change of address, polling places, voter ID rules, new districts, etc.' at least every two years prior to another election and CHOOSE to not do anything about getting their ID's in order, crying 'wolf' a week before the vote is not something I have much sympathy for. At least the Republicans don't have Black Panthers standing outside the vote locations with 'batons' intimidating voters as they walk in like they did for the BO first election (for which GWB issued indictments, and BO dropped all charges once he took office so they never went to trial over it).

As for this from your link: nearly 70 percent of which belong to African Americans (registrations are being delayed).

How exactly would they KNOW that? Do their voter registration forms ASK if they are black?

Why change the rules?

Since it seems like this is happening in repub controlled states what are the repubs trying to fix?

The 70% number might be based on where a person lives.

It's a simple plan.
Stop people from voting that are likely to vote dem.

Considering the FACT
Nov 3, 2018 10:21AM PDT

that it was REPUBLICAN ACTIVISTS that were risking their lives going into the Dem controlled SOUTH to get blacks registered to vote and driving them to the voting precincts, WHY in hell would they all of a sudden decide to SUPPRESS that right? This is bullshift that the Dems have been crying about for years because even THEY recognize that they are losing the black vote because of their lousy 'keep them in their place' policies. The Dems have been stirring the blacks up for the last ten years (it began with BO in earnest with the Cambridge police incident) and they've been rolling with it heavily ever since.

It's common place in every State that redistricting ALWAYS occurs by the 'ruling' governing body and it doesn't matter whether it's Rep or Dems. It just so happens that every time it's a Republican in leadership in the State, the Dems begin screaming all over the place....but stay totally silent when it's Dems in charge of that State. Every time a Rep controlled State tries to change the voting laws to make people use a State photo ID, the Dems have a hissy fit about 'suppression' saying it's a 'hardship' for minorities to get one. That's ridiculous...the ID's are free, can be had at ANY DMV (and if you can get to a DMV to get your driver's license, you can freaking get a free ID), and it stops illegals and dead people from voting when they shouldn't....yeah, yeah, Dems also claim NOBODY fraudulently votes, but they are ALWAYS found out AFTER the vote when they could have been stopped BEFORE the vote.

The other thing is that many Southern States are not ALLOWED to change their voter laws UNLESS they get permission from the Federal Government (DOJ), and when Dems are in charge of THAT agency, they are denied every time with the same crap 'suppression' accusations. THAT law needs to be changed immediately and was only put into place because the DEMS of the South had to be FORCED into allowing blacks to vote....talk about suppressionist history.

You wouldn't know the difference if you weren't actually LISTENING to his words, Bob......He was CONSTANTLY intimidating people, just as Maxine Waters does. Look at how many riots he actually ENCOURAGED. Do you think that those kinds of actions DOESN'T intimidate and frightens people into submission? Do you think Black Panthers standing in front of the voting areas with batons weren't intimidating, even if they never used them and only used WORDS? Do you think students setting fire to their own learning buildings in protest of a Conservative coming to speak there isn't intimidating? The Dems use these types of tactics all the time and openly encourage it to their supporters and liberals and the LSMedia let them off the hook every time. All of these actions are the very definition of intimidating people into submission by shutting down their ability to speak out of fear and it many ways it results in voter suppression of the 'opposition'. It also causes many people to be afraid to even talk about their views with friends and family for fear of losing those relationships....isn't THAT suppression?

There are other ways to bring about change.

I can discuss my political opinion with family and friends and we may not agree with each other but there is no termination of relationship.

I still vote the same way and I suspect they do also.
I don't see voter suppression there.

BO is still out there stumping
Nov 4, 2018 5:19AM PST

(which no other previous president has done before except Bill and that was for his wife) as if he is running again and actually lying about what the Rep candidates have done or will do and even calling this current president a liar. You and others have claimed all along that Trump hasn't got the temperament and/or the 'presidential' demeanor to qualify for the position....do you think BO is acting presidential or even courteously currently? I can definitively state that he is acting without any class. He's back to doing what he knows best....being a community organizer....but he's falling pretty flat at it. He recently had a rally in Anaheim, CA that only had 750 in attendance because that's all the DNC handed out (they called it a 'closed' rally), and even over the weekend in NV the media covered up the fact that, like they did with the LIAR, the venue was far emptier than the media cameras would let you think it was. https://www.redstate.com/brandon_morse/2018/10/23/media-hides-laughable-turnout-obamas-nevada-speech-trumpcruz-houston-rally-saw-thousands-attendance/

For somebody who believes he's far above Trump and Trump's accomplishments that he actually tries to take credit for it or shows disdain, he's lost his golden touch. He's 'likeable', but not 'votable' anymore....and the proof was in his last term as he tried to stump for Dems and every one of them lost. If HE'S not on the ticket, Dems lose every time. We'll find out on Tuesday if Trump's support for Reps even though HE's not on the ticket actually has the opposite effect.

contain policies that have had long lasting consequences that will take tens of years to fully correct, if they even CAN be. You don't like my politics because I know where to point the finger of blame and you don't like history lessons, which is why liberals ALWAYS repeat it. Don't forget....the definition of insanity is to something over and over again hoping for a different result/outcome. And the Dems have only gotten more insane trying.

Are these guys "standing outside a polling booth"?

What a bunch of posers....

Here is what Abrams said

However, Abram’s camp responded, saying it’s Brian Kemp who “posed for pictures with supporters wearing racist, hate-filled shirts and refused to denounce them.”

They are NOT armed Black Panthers...They are armed NEW Black Panthers.

"reverse suppression". No...there's no attempt to prevent anyone from voting but there's definitely an attempt to profile persons who, historically, favor a specific party and offer them free rides to registration and polling places. I don't fit that profile so that service isn't available to me.

that a public school that accommodates voters in my precinct is less than a mile away so I can walk. If I want to vote early, the drive is about 20 minutes. I don't like to go there, however, because it's like "running the gauntlet" to get from one's car to the building as they are accosted by persons until they reach the legally defined "no more politicking" zone. I do resent some of the methods used to get people to the polls. IMO, it should be their own motivation that guides them and not someone approaching only those they suspect will vote in a desired way. Those who have difficulty getting to the polls have free options already. It's not a secret. And, IMO, your charge that GOPs are out there by themselves trying to affect who votes and who cannot is pure bunk. Wake up and turn your head in both directions once in a while. Your rhetoric shows your position quite well. Only a fool would miss it.

The dems are doing it by getting their voters to the polls.

There seems to be a small difference there.

Now turn your head and look.
