Resolved Question

My wife has a Toshiba laptop. The sound volume frequently fades. It comes back after a few minutes. Running on bats or wall outlet makes no difference.

If in warranty let Tosh fix it. If not, tell the forum if you use canned air every month. If you ask what is canned air, start using it.

However I'll tell you that I have a 2.5 year old Toshiba L755 laptop running Windows 7, and the speakers always work for 30 seconds to a minute, then crap out completely. If I plug in headphones or external speakers, the sound is fine. I finally got tired of having the wires to the external speakers and went with bluetooth. I had to invest $15 for a bluetooth adapter for my wife's cell phone, so I invested $35 in a bluetooth speaker. It works great and sounds infinitely better than those laptop speakers. I dunno if this will help you or not, but it sure was the ideal solution for me.

Good luck.
