General discussion

Voice recording

Sep 24, 2006 8:02PM PDT

Hey
I know this question has been asked a few times but most of those discussions appear quite old.

I am looking for a mp3 player which records lectures. The lecture room i will be recording is is huge and I am about 10-15 metres from the lecturer. The lecturer does however use mic.

So far I have looked at the iriver clix and the creative zen vision:M. I am however not sure how well these devices record.

Any recomandations on what mp3 player I should get ?

I have a Maxfield G-Flash 1 GB player that records voice. I used it in a guitar course that I took so it seems to work pretty good for this purpose.

i've been using the nano plus a griffin italk for recording lectures, you can connect an external mike to the italk if the sund quality isn't good enough

It has a voice mode with automatic gain control. I use it for all my lectures.

mp3 player with one touch voice recording
Nov 15, 2006 5:50PM PST

I am looking for a good quality mp3 player with one touch voice recording. I recently bought a sansa and the recording function was horrible. I placed it right next to the lecturer, and on playback couldn't hear a sound. There are often echos in the lecture hall, so I need a recorder than can handle this.
Also, it would be good to be able to chooose whether I was recording in WMA or WAV or MP3 format.
Thanks for all suggestions.
