Sorry you are having this trouble. We would be happy to help. When the update occurred, do you recall being prompted to accept terms and conditions? If so, and if you did not accept them, that could be the reason for this issue. They would have stated:
"We appreciate your interest in this television and its operations. LG has never sold users' personal information to advertisers, and we don't require anyone to agree to our Privacy Policy. That policy provides important information about how LG collects, uses, and shares information that LG obtains when customers use LG Smart TV Services. If you choose not to agree to the Privacy Policy, you can still use your Smart TV, but not all Smart TV Services will be available. If you agree to the Privacy Policy, you can still opt-out of certain Smart TV functions through the OPTIONS sub-menu on your TV. For example, you can turn off the "LIVE PLUS" feature, which provides interactive services, and the "LIVE SHOPPING" feature, which assists with online shopping. If you have additional questions, please contact us at privacy.support@lge.com. "
