by Davewave / January 25, 2006 1:05 AM PST

Windows XP-Windows Media Player 9.0- Outlook Express-Musicmatch-T-Mobile.......first of all I have upgrade all.
I cannot play the voice memo I sent to my self thru T-Mobile..........however,everthing else plays fine on Musicmatch and it seems Outlook is working.
Anyone have an idea why it opens in Musicmatch but will not play. I have gone to all others to fix but no luck.....THANKS.

What file extension
by MarkFlax Forum moderator / January 25, 2006 3:16 AM PST

is this file you sent thru T-Mobile?

Is it compatible with MusicMatch?

Does it play in any other player, eg WMP?

What audio codecs do you need to listen to this memo?

In reply to: What file extension

It was a sound file sent thru T-Mobile cell to my computer for a test, it is a wav.file that is accepted by windows and musicmatch.
While connected to the Samsung tech I sent him the same file he opened it and said it worked good.
I would like to use musicmatch if possible. However,I do have other players downloaded that I do not know how to change to.....sorry.Your help is greatly apprecitated.
I'm guessing WMP is just another type of file.
Maybe,I could send you a sound file from my cell
and you could deseminate. Thanks again

My error, WMP is Windows Media Player

Have you tried the file in Windows Media Player?

If you don't have a shortcut of it on your desktop, goto the Start menu and it will be listed in the first window.

When Windows Media Player is open, goto File > Open and the Open File dialogue will display. Navigate to where you saved your wav file, highlight it then click OK.

This will show whether the file is working ok. If it is, then the problem is with your MusicMatch software.

If not, then it is the file which is not working.

You can use the same method to open the file in any media player you have.

Good luck.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
