Question

Voice Dialer/ Charging Problem with Samsung Galaxy SPH-M820

Every time I try to listen to internet radio with a pair of regular headphones plugged in, it constantly brings up voice search. If I don't catch it in time, it then proceeds to do random google searches for gibberish. It even dials my voice mail over and over. The record is 17 times in 30 minutes. I probably get an hour of listening before the battery is wiped out from all the calls and searches. I can find no way to delete this feature. Does anyone know how???
When it comes to recharging, I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but the connector in the phone is so bad, the charging constantly turns on and off. I have to have the phone in the perfect position and cannot touch it. Charging it in a moving car is almost impossible. I understand this can be basic wear and tear, but my question is can I at least disable that beeping when a charger is attached??? I tried to charge it in a car with a FM transmitter connected, but the beeping is so loud and distracting I had to stop because I would cause an accident.
I hope someone here has the same problem or who could help! I emailed Samsung Support and they suggested a soft reset. Needless to say, that didn't help.

Re: bad connector.

Seems a warranty issue.

When my sons iPod touch (I know, that's Apple, not Samsung) had a bad connector for his earphone he went back to the shop after half a year and they gave him a new one.
Samsung might do the same for a charging connector. That's a rather essential function, isn't it?

I'd get the phone fixed before expecting other things to work right.
