Vizio smart TV freezes up when connected to att uverse inter

by dupontgrad / June 26, 2015 12:36 PM PDT

Our new 50 inch Vizio LCD Smart TV works fine until the smart part is connected to the internet, ATT uVerse
We've tried 4 Vizio TVs and the same thing happens each time. ATT blames Vizio and Vizio blames ATT.
Any ideas??

It would help to know if the HDTV is connected wirelessly/wired, which UVERSE device you have (make/model).

UVERSE is known for having issues with hardware/media device compatibility.

Since the TV locks up, it's clear it's the Vizio.

If the maker is in denial, imagine how good service will be. Return it and ask the retailer for compensation for the trouble. They've been known to hand out a gift card that can make up the difference for a better set.
