My wndr3800 had odd issues and I had to install an older version of Netgear's firmware. 3 months later Netgear issued new firmware with a claim it was fixed. And it was.
There are other odd things that we can get around by turning off the firewall in the router (a strange thing when you get into routers and how they work!) and using Google DNS entries.

Hope this is the right place for this as it does concern TV and settings.
I bought a Vizio 501D-A2R smart TV and could not access Netflix. Their engineering dept. has been trying to find a fix for about a month.
They said it effects my model TV, but not all of them, in fact only a small amount of the sets have this problem.
I got a call today from their tech. department asking what router am I using. It is a Netgear R6200.
He had me disable the IPV6 auto feature in the router settings and that fixed the Netflix problem.?? Something about tunneling.
Once I signed into my Netflix account I could then go back to my router settings and turn the auto IPV6 back on and everything works fine.
It appears the problem is only with some Netgear routers and my model TV.
Strange!!!
