Vizio M702i-B3 ($1710) or Samsung UN65HU8550 ($1975) ???

Not sure which one to buy. The Samsung is a mint condition floor model. Full warranty. And the price is amazing.

At the regular price of $2800 I would definitely buy the Vizio. For the simple reason of value. But at a price difference of less than $300. I am torn.

The Samsung has 4K (which I think offers little value),
better apps (which I don't really use),
better software which is great (but on a daily basis, does it really make a difference.)
better aesthetics which is really nice ...

all at the cost of an extra $265 and 5" inches less.

In terms of picture quality for 1080p content. I understand the Vizio has top notch picture quality. Almost as good as the Samsung. If this is true I think I should get the extra 5 inches and save myself $265. But if I have misunderstood the difference in picture quality with respect to these two TVs, and Samsung is clearly superior, then Ill get the Samsung.

If you think I am missing something, or can compare the picture quality of these two TVs then your 2 cents would be very appreciated.

Thanks

These seem like two different animals. It real comes down to what features you prefer. Personally I probably take the Samsung because of 4K and 3D but some people doesn't care much about that. The Vizio has better PQ and $260 in your packet.
