Vivitar DVR390-H Battery Charging Issue!

Mar 1, 2005 3:24AM PST

I am having difficulty charging the battery so I believe.

According to the manual, the light is supposed to glow blue but nothing happens.

When I take the battery out with just the AC adapter, it seems to power on so I know its not the AC adapter. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong when coming to charge the battery?

The basics...

LiON, NiMH batteries are good for about 500 charges.

LiON batteries die if exposed to freezing temperatures.

Both types tend to fade away or outright fail at 18 months.

You didn't tell much about how old the battery was or if a new battery fixes it.

Hey Bob the battery is brand new! Theres a current running through the camera which is new also but it doesn't seem to charge the battery. Ive followed the manual on how to charge the camera but it doesn't seem to work?

Can you tell me where I could get a new battery for this camera.

I've found quite a few such batteries at best buy and other such stores. At least there, you can take it to the service desk after purchase and see if it works and if not, return it on the spot if the camcorder is broken.

Sorry to hear your woe with your ebay seller. You should get it back to them.
