Vista & XP Sharing Problem

Jun 27, 2007 8:48AM PDT

i have a windows XP pc which is wired connected to Speedtouch router, and a windows vista business laptop connected to the router using wireless connection.
From XP, i can see and access the Vista shared folders fine....

but from Vista, when i try to access a shared folder on xp, it takes forever to open a folder, and when i try to open a small text file for example, it takes about 15 mins to open, and sometimes the explorer even hangs and doesn't open the file......

the Vista laptop can access the internet just fine, and if i connected the laptop using wired connection, it works fine,
the problem occurs only when connecting through wirless

how can i fix it????????

Slow transfers
Jun 28, 2007 1:59AM PDT

When I had this slow transfer problem using my Netgear Router I had to update it with a Beta Vista patch on the Vista PC - mine also had the problem on a wired connection with the Vista PC so may not be your same problem but it is where I started looking.
