XP-based computers need to have that update installed to avoid issues with Vista properly 'seeing' them. It's one of the most frequently encountered problems, so see if the update corrects it first.
Hope this helps,
John

i have a windows XP pc which is wired connected to Speedtouch router, and a windows vista business laptop connected to the router using wireless connection.
From XP, i can see and access the Vista shared folders fine....
but from Vista, when i try to access a shared folder on xp, it takes forever to open a folder, and when i try to open a small text file for example, it takes about 15 mins to open, and sometimes the explorer even hangs and doesn't open the file......
the Vista laptop can access the internet just fine, and if i connected the laptop using wired connection, it works fine,
the problem occurs only when connecting through wirless
how can i fix it????????
