To upgrade to Vista you install it from XP which by now you should have service pack 2 installed, (and activated) if not you could download it. You can not use your your XP cd to upgrade as this appears to be what you mean when you say your cd has no service pack.
I went to Costco. Home Premium (not basic) was availble for reasonable I guess. So I thought I'd consider possibly upgrading.
But it says on the box I can only upgrade if I have Windows XP SP2. But my CD is regular. Not even SP1 much less SP2. No service packs. Just plain XP.
So will I not be able to upgraded will I. At leat not without installing XP and then SP2. Or is there anyway around this.
