You do realize that software must call this service?
Sep 2, 2007 11:06PM PDT

Just flipping this on will not boost any known software today. And any software that does intend to call it should have asked the owner during install whether to enable this.

Sadly I'm calling this tweak a dud.

No error made here

This is a service that manages the flow of threads through the CPU. It is in effect a traffic cop, channeling threads through the CPU via the registry. No additional software is needed to run it, it is a service. Cite your references ****. This service is available in Vista Business.

The references are in you link.

It is very thorough in it's documentation noting that the application must interact with the service. Since no known applications use this yet, the tip is a dud.

I read it right. From several sources in fact.

How about you?

How old are you Bob? Need some new glasses? Been hitting on the Gin? Do you check your statements? Your slipping ****.

The second paragraph reads.
Sep 3, 2007 7:21AM PDT

"Each client thread belongs to a thread ordering group. The parent thread creates one or more thread ordering groups by calling the AvRtCreateThreadOrderingGroup function. The parent thread uses this function to specify the period for the thread ordering group and a time-out interval.

Additional client threads call the AvRtJoinThreadOrderingGroup function to join an existing thread ordering group. "

These threads are YOUR APPLICATION which must be coded to not only create the parent thread but your client threads also call this service.

I'm a grizzly old programmer and hope you can see the error here. This is a dud to call it a tweak for all applications.

Back to you Fred.
