then go to customize and check the size of the start menu. If its been changed (9 is the default) that would exlain it. Finally you could of accidently pinned the widows welcome center to the start menu.
Hello,
I have recently run into a problem with the recently used programs list under the start menu not populating. About two weeks ago my system started to act funny either after reinstalling Acrobat or after a windows update (not sure if either, but this is all I can think of now).
After restarting the computer my list of frequenly used programs only listed three items instead of the usual 9 or so: a frequently used program and two programs I never used (one of which is the windows welcome center).
I deleted the windows welcome center, but it came back (and I haven't run it). I waited for recently used programs to re-populate, but they didn't. Now what I have done is gone to the properties of the start menu, cleared the list by unchecking "Store and display a list of recently used programs", but now my list is blank and still does not appear to be populating.
Has anyone had problems with the recently used programs not populating?
Is there a known problem or solution?
Thank you in advance for your help!
