VISTA security virus doesn't allow any programs to run

Apr 8, 2011 11:49AM PDT

The VISTA security virus has hi-jacked my laptop. I cannot run any programs in windows or even off of my memory stick.

Any ideas?

Hello Biffer27,

Firstly, try to scan your computer with updated AVG Rescue CD.

Afterwards, run Re-enable portable.

If all programs still refuse to run afterwards, try to fix your exe associations:
For Vista/7
For Windows XP

Then proceed with full reinstallation instructions, update your AVG and run full computer scan.

If your computer is still infected, provide us with both GMER outputs and with Autoruns tool output (as compressed .arn file).

Upload requested files to your favourite online storage service and provide us with link.

Thank you
